Kenneth “Kenn” Todorov is sector vice president and general manager of the Combat Systems and Mission Readiness division for Northrop Grumman’s Defense Systems sector – a provider of broad-spectrum critical technology services, sustainment and modernization solutions, integrated battle command systems, and tactical weapons and information systems, focused on evolving threats and quick-turn requirements for a wide variety of national security, military and civilian customers.
In this role, Todorov oversees the Combat Systems and Mission Readiness division, where unparalleled experience and expertise in advanced missile defense is used to develop and integrate cutting-edge secure communications, sensing capabilities, protection technologies and readiness solutions for defense customers, delivering the right information to the right people at the right time for a decisive in-theater advantage, across every component of command, control, communications, computers, intelligence, surveillance and reconnaissance.
Prior to his current position, Todorov was vice president of Missile Defense Solutions for the company’s Space Systems sector and, previously, the Mission Systems sector. There, he led a $500 million annual business focused on advancing people, processes, and technology as the premier provider of reliable and affordable transformational missile defense solutions to the warfighter. Todorov also served as Northrop Grumman’s Director of Global Air and Missile Defense, where he was responsible for strategic planning, capture program management and sales growth in the domestic and international arena for company’s integrated air and missile defense command and control global campaign.
Before joining Northrop Grumman, Todorov concluded a 30 year career of service in the United States Air Force retiring in the rank of brigadier general. He served as deputy director for the Missile Defense Agency (MDA), and held senior leadership positions at the Joint Integrated Air and Missile Defense Organization (JIAMDO), United States Northern Command (NORTHCOM) and North American Aerospace Defense Command (NORAD). He also advised the director of the MDA in the fielding of the Ballistic Missile Defense System (BMDS).
He holds a bachelor’s degree from Siena College and master’s degrees in business administration from National University, national security from the Naval War College and strategic studies from the Air War College. Todorov is also a non-resident expert in national security and missile defense projects at the Center for Strategic and International Studies in Washington, D.C.
